Gülsin Onay is enjoying a busy summer with international festival appearances, all lauded by the press in Europe and Turkey.

Her recital at the Wiltz Festival earned the praise "Le gigantisme pianistique" in the Luxemburger Wort where Pierre Gerges wrote, "The Turkish pianist Gülsin Onay impressed with a formidably effective performance."

Florence Coste interviewed Ms. Onay for La Dépêche du Midi right after her recital at the Piano Pic Festival, for which she wrote, "In Beaudean last Wednesday, Gülsin Onay gave the piano its symphonic language, its power and its modernity. From the deepest of melancholies to the most spirited moments of exuberance, her very personal technique revealed the full spectrum of emotions. It's true indeed, thoughts have wings, and that night, music was one woman."

Gülsin Onay is playing Rachmaninov's 3rd Piano Concerto with the NDR Radio Philharmonic and Rengim Gökmen at the Schleswig-Holstein Music Festival this Thursday (Aug 25).
