Gulsin Onay performed with Kirill Troussov and Antonio Meneses at İstanbul Music Festival for a rare chamber music treat - she continues her summer of festivals with appearances worldwide.

Pianist Gulsin Onay played with violinist Kirill Troussov and cellist Antonio Meneses at the 38th International Istanbul Music Festival at a sold-out concert on 12 June.

The “Festival Encounters” presented a rare opportunity to listen to Gulsin Onay playing chamber music in a break from her busy solo schedule. “I seldom have time for chamber music, so the chance to play this great programme with Troussov and Meneses who are wonderful musicians is a great pleasure.” she said.

The three virtuosi came together for the first time in a repertoire of masterpieces: Chopin Cello Sonata in G minor, Frank Violin Sonata in A major and Tchaikovsky Trio in A minor - a programme which kept Gulsin Onay on stage for almost two hours and ended with a standing ovation from the rapturous audience.

She will give a recital in Vienna on 24 June before her appearance in Deutschlandsberg Festival on the 27th.

Gülsin Onay will give recitals featuring Chopin this summer also at Bayreuther Festspiele and at the opening night of Golandsky Institute International Piano Festival.
