FESTIVAL AND RECITAL TOUR

An ever busy concerting schedule awaits Gülsin Onay again in late spring and summer. The renowned pianist is first touring the States, Germany and Austria for recitals and festival appearances from 7 April to 14 June. Her summer programme will follow with festivals in Turkey, and tours to Greece with the conductor Vladimir Ashkenazy and once more to Germany.

Gülsin Onay gave a recital at New York’s The Times Center on the 7th of May. The Miami International Festival then marked the Florida debut of Ms. Onay, who has given many acclaimed concerts in the United States, including in New York, Washington DC, California, and at the international festivals of Newport, Gina Bachauer in Salt Lake City and Golandsky Institute in Princeton. She gave a recital at the festival on the 9th of May and performed the Chopin 2nd Piano Concerto at the closing Concerto Night with the Festival Orchestra under the baton of William Noll, on the 11th.

… in Beethoven-Haus

Gülsin Onay’s next destination is the former capital of Germany, Bonn. She will give a recital in the prestigious season series “Kammerkonzerte im Beethoven-Haus” of the Beethoven Orchester on the 30th of May.

Piano Spring in Austria…

Featuring some of the world’s finest pianists every year, the Deutschlandsberg Klavierfrühling Festival of Austria is hosting a Turkish pianist for the first time.  The 14th festival will close on June 14th with a Gülsin Onay concert. Ms. Onay will play the works of Schumann, Mendelssohn, Chopin, Ravel and Saygun in her recital.
