Welcoming 2008 with a busy recording and concert schedule, Gülsin Onay gave the first concert of the year to benefit UNICEF. She was then at the Kremlin Festival, performing Chopin’s 2nd Piano Concerto on 15 January and right after that in Germany where “she conjured glistening strings of pearls from the piano” at her recitals.

Gülsin Onay started 2008 in full swing; first recording a CD selection of “Night Music” and then giving her first concert of the year as a gift to UNICEF. On 15 January, Onay was at the Kremlin Palace.

She again won high praises from public and press with her performances of Schumann, Mendelssohn, Chopin, Saygun and Ravel.
